It’s that time of year! We get to promote our favourite toys! Woot woot! Many more established sex toy reviewers will only include toys that were made available in 2016, but I don’t think we have enough of those toys to have their own list. Maybe next year we will only focus on toys from 2017, but for now we’re going to focus on all the toys we’ve tested throughout 2016. Here are our top 6!
This toy is perfection. Not only is it absolutely stunning to look at and could mask as a piece of art, it targets by G-spot like nothing else we own. The hard glass material hits the right spot every single time. The handle is easy to hold. The texture adds dimension to it. It’s just… so damn good. EDIT 2017: This company no longer exists 🙁
This wasn’t our favourite vibrator right away as it took a while to get used to the intensity. In fact, I still don’t really use it directly on my clit, I typically hold it next to it. This WORKS though. Like, guaranteed orgasm for me from this. It is also bullet-sized so it is easy to double up on toys or use during PIV sex or even sneak under to Andy’s perineum. Yes, we’re big fans.
This toy is our favourite dual density dildo. It has the best squish factor and fits my body to hit either my G-spot or my A-spot. The flattened, but still pronounced head is where the power really comes from. Also, Andy gives me blowjobs with this dildo, so it automatically gets elevated above others.
4. Sliquid H2O
Sliquid H2O has won over our other lubes so far. It can be used for absolutely anything and has the least amount of taste or odour that we’ve been able to find in a water-based lube. We hope we never run out.
This probably won’t be on our list for long but it has to make it for 2016 because it was our very first wand vibrator and I fell in love pretty intensely. I am obsessed with the scroll feature. We use it on low-medium settings but I’ve read that the high settings are way too buzzy for many bloggers. We haven’t hit those settings yet, which is why this Wand is still one of our favourites. That scroll feature is key.
6. Lelo Ella
First, I really don’t want to promote a Lelo toy so read all the way to the end of this recommendation. The Lelo Ella helped us find my G-spot and for that I will forever be grateful. My orgasms depend on G-spot stimulation and the Ella helped educate us on where that actually is and how much pressure I actually need. HOWEVER, we have not even touched this toy since Lelo announced Charlie Sheen to be the ambassador of their faulty/dangerous new condoms. Instead of purchasing a Lelo toy (although Ella is no longer being produced), we’d recommend finding something with a similar shape and rigidity. The porcelain dildo from Desirables is close.
There we have them! Our top six toys of 2016! You can be guaranteed to find the first 1-5 on our nightstand at any given time. Number 6… well… we’re holding onto it for nostalgia purposes.
