Satisfyer Pro Penguin Review

The Satisfyer series came out shortly after the Womanizer series took the pleasure world by storm. The Womanizer, which I have already reviewed was revolutionary for people who enjoy clitoral stimulation. It was an innovative product that actually worked! Despite the horrible name of the Womanizer, most sex blogger reviews were surprisingly positive. My review had mixed feelings about it. The Womanizer forced out clitoral orgasms but I never fully felt satisfied from them.

When Peepshow Toys offered me to review a Satisfyer toy… I kind of felt like it would be the same thing. My G-spot is so much more important than my clit during an orgasm, so even though these pulsating toys can be used simultaneously with another insertable toy… they just leave me feeling unsatisfied.

Overall these wave-pulsating toys just aren’t right for me. They work, don’t get me wrong – they do give me orgasms but they are really quick and really shallow ones. When I have a shallow orgasm, I can often have more than one in a session and this is no exception – the Satisfyer (and the Womanizer) can provide numerous orgasms. I’d just prefer one really great orgasm instead of a few weaker ones. But that’s just me.

The Basics:

The Satisfyer Pro Penguin is made of silicone and ABS plastic and uses vacuum technology for a ‘touch-free’ pulsing effect. The toy itself is 4.75 inches long, 1.75 inches wide. The tip where the pressure-waves comes from is 0.6 x 0.5 inches wide. It has two easy-to-press buttons – one for the power and one for the 11 different intensities. The intensities can increase until they hit the highest setting and then they start to decrease. Unlike the Womanizer Deluxe, the Satisfyer Pro Penguin is fully waterproof with a magnetic recharging system. It takes about 3 hours to charge and then you can use it for about 2 hours.

In Use:

Basically, the concept with the vacuum technology is that you spread your labia apart and press the white tip over your clitoris. You seal it against your body and then you simply just hold it in place. You don’t need to move it at all, it will just do its thing and pulse.

For me, the white tip fits over my clit. The Womanizer Deluxe comes with two different nozzle sizes while the Satifyer Pro Penguin only includes one. I can’t speak for others, but I am assuming that only having one size option might be problematic for some people.

Once I have it in place on my clit, I gradually increase the intensities. I usually orgasm around level 6 or 7. I find that as I increase the intensities, it feels like it is slowly pulling an orgasm out of my clitoris. If I move up intensities before my body is ready, then it feels itchy and uncomfortable and I cannot easily decrease the intensity with the Penguin (which is really, really annoying).

Typically when I orgasm, my clit becomes hyper-sensitive and I really need the intensity to decrease. This happens with all of my vibrating/pulsating toys that are on my clit. That’s the one thing I hate about the Tango and that’s the one thing I really hate about the Satisfyer Pro Penguin. I need to continue stimulation at a much lower intensity, but I can’t do that with the Satisfyer because I need to cycle up to the highest intensity before it starts to lower again.

This is the major advantage of the Womanizer Deluxe. There is an option to increase and decrease the intensity as I pleased. Without the presence of a ‘decrease’ button, my orgasms are even less satisfying.

The shape of the Penguin is incredibly easy to hold in place. It fits in the curves of my hand easier than the Womanizer Deluxe does. It is overall less bulky.

Lube: You can use water-based lubricant if you like!

Waterproof: You can take this into the bath or shower if you want! It also makes it very easy to clean.

Comparison Between the Satisfyer Pro Penguin and the Womanizer Deluxe:

Orgasms: Womanizer wins. The path to my orgasm is the same, but I can control the intensities significantly better with the Womanizer which is important to me.
Power: Womanizer wins. There is just slightly more power at the highest intensity (and you also don’t have to worry about counting which intensity level you are at because it will just remain at the highest setting).
Settings: Satisfyer wins. There are more subtle increments due to a larger number of intensity settings available.
Ease to Use: Satisfyer wins. It is slightly easier to hold.
Waterproof: Satisfyer wins. The Womanizer Deluxe isn’t waterproof.
Rechargeable: Tie. Both are rechargeable and come with USB cords.
Modifiable: Womanizer wins. It comes with two different nozzle sizes.
Noise: Satisfyer wins. It is significantly quieter.
Price: Satisfyer wins. It is significantly less expensive.
Companies: Womanizer wins. They were the company that took this technology and made it into a toy that has worked for a lot of people. It is rumoured that Satisfyer has blatantly told people that they have ripped off Womanizer, and are proud of the fact that they ‘got away’ with it.

In Conclusion:

If you enjoy clitoral stimulation, then I would recommend trying out a toy that has this new pulsing technology. If you require more G-spot centred-orgasms like me, then I wouldn’t suggest spending money on these products. The Satisfyer Pro Penguin is a pretty decent toy for its low price. It is body safe and it does absolutely make me orgasm, just not in the way that I prefer to.

If you’re choosing between a Womanizer product or a Satisfyer product… it really depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re on a tight budget, I would have to recommend a Satisfyer product. If you prioritize supporting ethical companies, then I would recommend a Womanizer product. If you absolutely need waterproof, then the only choice is Satisfyer (edit: the Womanizer Pro40 is also waterproof but I haven’t reviewed it). If you absolutely need to be able to adjust the intensities, then the only choice is Womanizer. It really depends on what is important for you!

If you’re trying to make a decision, check out Dangerous Lilly’s roundup of a bunch of Womanizer and Satisfyer products.

Please note that while these types of pulses can make me orgasm really quickly, it is totally and completely fine if they don’t work for your body.
