The Godemiche Peg is designed specifically for pegging purposes. It is supposed to be shape like a finger, which is an excellent starting point for anal play, and made out of firm silicone in order to help with insertion (ever try to insert something limp?). It is 5 inches long and 0.78 inches wide or 2.5 inches in circumference, making it the skinniest toy we own. To put it into perspective, the dildo that comes with the Lovehoney Beginner’s Harness is 3 inches in circumference.
There are subtle ridges along the shaft to enhance sensation.
As a Butt Plug
Of course I will always try out a toy before I test it out on Andy. I think that is only fair. This way, I will know exactly how the toy works and have a better idea on how to position it for him.
The skinniness of the Peg allows for really easy insertion. Just add a little bit of lube and it will slide right in. It is a really long toy, and I have yet to insert it all the way in, but the top part of it is just fine. Well, until I get to the ridges. I’m not really a texture-lover when it comes to my vagina, so I wasn’t really expecting to be a texture lover in my butt… and I was right. Even though the ridges are small, I can feel them extremely well and they bother me. It feels like something is trying to come out of my rectum (and I am not referring to the toy). Compared to the Lovehoney beginner pegging toy, which is entirely smooth, I have to say that the smoothness wins. The Lovehoney pegging toy is slightly wider, which might be a deterrent for some, but I would prefer that than the ridges. I just can’t get on board with the ridges.
Andy really enjoys using the Peg as an insertable. The first time we used it he said: “You almost made me cum without touching my dick”. I mean, we can basically end the review here. Andy is totally on board with this toy, ridges included.
As a Pegging Toy
It was a success! Using this toy as a beginner pegging dildo went surprisingly well. We tried a variety of positions, and it seemed to work for most of them. The dildo itself has some bend-ability, which makes it easier to control the angle of insertion. We still need some practice, but we’re super happy with the way things have been going with the Peg. It is possible that a longer dildo would be better, not for insertion but for getting used to pegging instead. You would obviously choose the amount of insertion but you would be physically farther away and be able to keep an eye on how things are going. We aren’t yet at the stage of blindly inserting a toy and knowing it will feel okay. When that happens, the length might be totally fine – we’ll have to let you know!
We were worried that the base would be too small for the harness, but it worked with our Lovehoney Beginner’s Harness while using the smallest O-Ring size (1.25 inches). It does have a small base, so it is something to consider when selecting your harness.
It is always important to use lubricant during anal play as the anus does not self-lubricate. We choose to use Sliquid Sassy, a water-based lubricant that is thickened for extra padding. This also lets us use the lubricant liberally without worrying that silicone oil will get over all the sheets.
Silicone is super easy to clean as it is non-porous. There is a possibility of a lingering smell, and Dangerous Lily answers how to take care of that. If you’re going to share toys between people or orifices then make sure to sanitize them!
The Peg ended up being a great first pegging dildo! There might be small room for improvement on the width of the base to fit a variety of harnesses, but it worked well with our choice of harness. Insertion was easy and the bend-ability helped with different positions. The ridges are a personal preference (we are divided on whether we like them or not). Overall, we are super happy to own this dildo and have used it successfully for our first time pegging!
