The SUTIL Luxe Body Glide is a water-based lubricant that contains eco-certified ingredients. It is paraben free, glycerin free and even comes in a biodegradable tube. Please note that it is not gluten free due to the oat beta glucan.
Company: Hathor Aphrodisia is a Canadian-based company (yay!) that started by manufacturing spa treatment products including therapeutic oils, creams and lotions. They’ve since branched out to include lubricants but make sure to continue to use botanical eco-certified ingredients.
Ingredients: Aqua, Propanediol, Hyaluronic Acid, Nelumbo Nucifera Root Extract, Oat Beta Glucan, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate and Citric Acid. More information is available on their site.
Compatible With: SUTIL is a water-based lubricant, which means that it is compatible with all sex toys, masturbators and condoms.
Container: The container is biodegradable which is awesome. It is also incredibly subtle and can be easily overlooked for a hand lotion. The lid clicks closed pretty firmly which is important for traveling. It might not be ideal while you’re getting passionate, but it definitely beats having lube spill all over your travel bag (yes, speaking from experience).
See: The lubricant is so clear that it was too difficult to take a picture of without reflecting all of the surroundings! Instead, we have provided a video for you to see it for yourself.
Smell: Very mild smell with a hint of citrus. Does not smell at all like it tastes.
Taste: We are so sorry to say this but the taste is awful. If this lube has one flaw, it is the taste. It makes my face curl up in a really unpleasant manner, which is not exactly sexy. I am super picky with flavours but Andy can tolerate it more.
Feel: SUTIL claims to have a silicone-texture without the silicone, and they are pretty accurate about this. It has a very silky feel to it and we were surprised that this is a water-based lubricant. During use, it never gets tacky.
Conclusion: We really enjoy using this lubricant as long as our mouths are not involved. It is so incredibly sleek that it feels like a hybrid lubricant without actually containing any silicone. The price is a bit steep, but the quality is worth it. As well, you don’t have to re-apply as often, so your bottle should last you longer than a cheaper brand. Don’t let our impression of the taste deter you – there are many other reviewers who don’t feel as strongly about the taste. Overall, we absolutely recommended SUTIL if you’re looking for a water-based lubricant.
Recommended For: People who require water-based lubricant to last longer. People who enjoy hybrid lubricant but cannot use it on silicone toys or condoms.
Not Recommended For: People who never want to re-apply lube. People who are sensitive to flavours.
